To Andrea:

When the snow still fell through beams of light on cool nights,
I sat and awaited a blue Jetta with a nervous heart and sweaty palms,
I looked all around that December night and there it came,
and a girl so beautiful with a nervous smile took the seat by my side,
and in the dark as the band played you first took my hand and we first kissed.
Then there was the time in the theater when I feared to take your hand,
My heart beat like exploding stars until you touched me softly,
And we laughed and I looked into your eyes and saw reflecting light,
And looking further into their depth I first felt love.
There was the night in the ice arena, we skated hand in hand,
We laughed and smiled so much and neither of us even fell,
If it was cold I couldn't tell, I was lost in your warm embrace.
There was the dancehall and something was said about a girl named Juliet,
There were dancing shoes left and right in gentle light but all I saw was you,

And your eyes, so wonderfully welcoming and loving and I melted.
These are a few of the places we've loved, but there are so many places we haven't been,
Under the stars I long to take your arm and touch your lips as stars melt,
Oh wont you be my Juliet and I'll be so much more than just your Romeo.
