This may sound a little weird, but to change the results you are getting in your life you must change not just your behavior but also your identity.  You might be thinking, so what the heck is the difference?  Let me try to illustrate.  If you were a smoker and you try to stop smoking you are just trying to change your behavior.  Therefore odds are when you around others who are smoking you will be tempted greatly to smoke.  However if you change your identity from a smoker to a non-smoker that situation will not have any effect on you.  You must think not about changing just your behavior, but changing your identity.  So instead of thinking, I am going to stop smoking, you must decide that you are a non-smoker.  This may sound simple, but actually doing it is not.  Learning to do this will allow you to make dramatic changes in all areas of your life: health and wellness, family, financially, socially and spiritually.  Think about this all you need to do to change your identity is to change the way that you think about yourself and your current identity.  This simple idea implemented properly can change your life for the better and forever.

Excellent advice! Funny thing...I'm a smoker who decided the other day to quit. I've tried before, but always still regarded myself as a "smoker". Never occured to me to think of myself as a "non-smoker" in order to help me quit...but it makes perfect sense. I'll give it a shot!

Good Luck!  If you can change your identity to being a non-smoker I think you might actually be turned off by smoking and being around other smokers.
