Current mood:pezazzed
the last week we've been touring in Qld. we flew up to brisbane on thursday morning, we met stevvy our shockingly impressive tour manager and all things were pointing forward; until we realized paddy had forgotten his pedals, which our time-traveling manager somehow managed to get them to the gate just in the nik from the infested depths of bondi... and as you can imagine getting pedals through the xray security is a laborious and retarded procedure with security still giving you the "9/11" speech... later that day i found a switchblade i bought overseas in my laptop bag which made me wonder "how can they spend ten minutes of your life scrutinizing a little white box that says in big writing "boss chromatic tuner" and totally overlook a knife"...

after debating if you fell off our hotel balcony into the pool whether you'd die or not (definitely would) we went to bar soma to set our gear up. i didn't ask whether the name was a reference to huxley, but somehow i doubt it. we played an alright show considering that we were hearing the crowd saying "play ghost" a song that has been sonically dead for almost three years... afterwards valentinos did their thing and maintained their rep for being the raddest unts.

that night we partied in the "valley" a cacophonous street of hedonistic debauchery and tragically aimless vagabonds asking anything of you.

the next show was in coolangatta, what can i say about coolie? not much really, we played an incredibly off show as the venue had somehow managed to run the power of the entire stage from one input resulting in multiple powerfailures, I just read a review from that night mentioning how we played red version..., curiously we haven't played red version since we were in UK... sure enough later it was another night of parties without rhyme or reason. its amazing how even after shorting out on stage the will was still strong to get mad...

wombye. wow what a place. the crowd were really rad many of which had trecked from the sunny coast, and after chatting to a few locals i realised that there were quite a few bashful fans, but by this stage we were all in a pretty lax mood, and instead of seeing the many sights of wombye, we all sorta peeled home.

and that has pretty much been our lives for the last three days, mgmt. (not the band) have been bugging me to do the twitter thing (www.twitter.com/ghostwoodband), so ill give it more of a go when we go to vic later this week...
thanks for listening and reading.
