(515) MANAGEMENT PROUD TO ANNOUNCE: JUNK POET & DI-FI JOIN THE (515) MANAGEMENT GROUP
The
(515) Management Group's founder, Denny Harvey, announced Monday
morning that up and coming Midwest acts JUNK POET and DI-FI have joined
the (515) MANAGEMENT roster.
Seminal
Iowa artists JUNK POET was a staple of the burgeoning Iowa music scene
of the early 90's and a contemporary of internationally renown acts
SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR. The band reunited in 2007 and is currently
active again for the first time in a decade.
Omaha's
Dark Dance renegades DI-FI have steadily developed an interesting niche
in the Midwestern Region, bringing their mix of Rock, Industrial, Goth
and Dance styles with a shocking twist.
Both bands are actively writing, recording, and performing throughout the Midwest Region.
Harvey
describes both bands as, "Hard working, extremely talented acts that
the world needs to hear a lot more of. In the case of JUNK POET, these
are guys that bring a wealth of talent and songwriting experience to
the table. Real veterans. They understand melody and mood. DI-FI brings
a different twist and a unique sense of style to their performances.
Both bands are very capable and masters of their own respective genres.
They're natural additions to the (515) Management Family."
Founded
in 2004, the Iowa based (515) Management Group was designed as an
alternative for developing Midwestern musical acts and formerly managed
Iowa based metal act FACECAGE. Said Harvey at the time; “"There has
been a movement throughout the Midwestern United States that has been
all but been ignored by the mainstream music industry. Thriving music
scene’s like Minneapolis, Omaha, Kansas City, Chicago...the list goes
on and on. In Iowa alone there are at least a dozen talented, amazing
bands that can'’t get the time of day from the mainstream labels. It’s
wrong, it’s short sighted, and we are going to change it.”"
In
2006, Harvey and SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor, along with
FACECAGE, founded the independent record label GREAT BIG MOUTH RECORDS.
The label's focus, as was (515) Management's, was on Midwestern acts,
artist development and independent promotion. Harvey left the
management of FACECAGE and the operations of GREAT BIG MOUTH in 2007,
but still develops a limited number of Midwestern acts.
"This is just the beginning folks", Harvey states, "These are definitely two acts to watch."
