The past few months have been filled with many challenges, many rewards and many sprouting flowers. I must say, that I am Eternally greatful for Life and for all that comes along with living out a Full and Productive existence. I am Eternally greatful for all of You who have continued to support the work I am doing along with and for our global communities. We MUST "do for self" and make way for the next generations.
Today, I write to you about the mission I will be embarking on this coming February with God's House International, Inc. Last February, I traveled to Sierra Leone with God's House and the experience was life-changing for many reasons. I will travel on this Mission to Sierra Leone again this February. God's House International is funded mainly through the personal finances of the Founder, Yvonne Washington-Turay. We also receive donations from small businesses, friends and family. It was amazing for me to see how much work could be done while efficiently using limited resources to reach thousands of people. This will be the 9th year that God's House will be working in Sierra Leone doing medical and educational outreach.
Through the efforts of Yvonne Washington-Turay, during her first visit she saw the vast need for medical care in the after math of the civil war, and she decided to
ACT...This brave act began the Free Medical Care program of God's House International. Since her first visit, Yvonne has built a free clinic, with her own personal funds, where she now administers and carries out the Free Medical Care Program.
Through the years GHI has continued to grow in its mission and service to the communities in Sierra Leone, the U.S. Virgin Islands and beyond. Among its current programs are the (1)Free Medical Care program, (2) HIV/AIDS and STD awareness and prevention outreach, (3)Construction of the GHI clinic, (4) the School-to-School cultural exchange, (5)community feedings and (6) the Women's Empowerment program.

As you may well know, it is almost time for our annual outreach to Freetown, Sierra Leone. During this outreach, we provide food, clothing, basic medical care,HIV/AIDS sensitization and much more. While there are only a handful of us who are physically doing the work, God is blessing this endeavor. For me, it is a passion, a dream and a blessing to be called to such a great work. I am honored that God would choose and ordinary person, such as myself, to do a great task. The Most High has, however, surrounded me with mighty men and women of God who make this calling feasible. This year, I am asking, you, my community to assist me with this venture. I promise, you will not be disappointed and I will ensure that everyone who gives receives something back from us upon our return. Attached, you will find our needs list.
