"Springs take various songs from all three of RF's full-lengths, sometimes reworking the entire song, sometimes just a melodic fragment or two, or sometimes just the theme of the song in question."

:: RF, Views of Distant Towns 2006 Plop (Japanese CD)

The third CD release by RF and the first release for the Tokyo based Plop label, Views of Distant Towns interprets the literature of Haruki Murakami through a bed of lush vocals, textural electronics, subtle field recordings, and composed acoustic arrangements.

:: RF, Falls 2004 Odd Shaped Case (CD)

Falls, the second RF CD from Ryan Francesconi, picks up where Interno left off offering 14 new tracks (over 60 minutes) of electronic acoustica. Featuring singers Lily Storm and Moira Smiley, Falls has the feeling of songs patiently crafted and of unrushed pacing. While moments of the cd have ambient Greek countryside field recordings, other moments feature elaborate string arrangements and Francesconi's own style of melodic guitar work and software manipulations. Falls is an emotional work that conveys feelings of travel and the slipping of the seasons.

:: RF, Interno 2002 Odd Shaped Case (CD)

The debut solo album from Berkeley, CA-based Ryan Francesconi works as a soundtrack for pensive, pondering times, that lets the mind drift from rigidity and schedules. A lofty, deeply atmospheric ambient musical work, "Interno" combines an assortment of electronic textures with classical and acoustic instrumentation such as the cello, violin, flute, clarinet, horns and guitar, and brandishes Balkan music as a major influence. It's a soothing, contemplative yet exploratory effort -- especially surprising considering Francesconi's career as a computer programmer and application developer. He even wrote much of the software he uses to compose his music. "Interno" is an impressive start. - Tim Pratt, XLR8R Magazine
