July 1st, Twin
Thousands, a new project featuring from Gretta of Cursive and Saddle Creek
Records fame and Ryan Smith of A Million Billion, will be gracing The Fire’s
stage with their own brand of epic organic orchestrated indie pop rock. New and
old Philadelphia voices emerge among the supporting act, including Aja Beech,
an experienced socially conscious singer songwriter influenced by Pasty Klein
and Shirley Scott, Elle King, a new act with honest songs and an honest voice,
and upcoming songwriter Kevin James Devine. The show starts at 8PM, $7.....
We also have the 4th of July Guitar
Barbecue, a great night when some of Philly’s most accomplished musicians will
bring their own flair to The Fire. Featuring the Mike Tyler Band with
special guest Mike Hampton, Kid Funkadelic & Ronnie Head Drayton, the
Funkadelic Alumni Band, Charles Eleerbe, Cornell Rochcester, Jamaaldeen, G
Calvin Westin and many special guests. BBQ starts at 6, music at sunset. $7....
