Current mood:homegrown Category: Writing and Poetry
hey there everybody. while i was on tour this summer taking on different cities and people each evening, i dearly missed my wife, family and all the amazing local businesses that make me feel special and at home.
i then decided one day driving to write a frighin' song about all of the afore mentioned people and places back home in Austin, TX. strangely enough, polvo's, my wife and i have a great relationship and our relationship became the title, hook and theme of what i miss about austin when i'm on the road playing shows....
the result is seen, or rather, heard in "polvo's martinis".
*friday nov. 27th will be the release of a three song EP featuring songs from my new album scheduled to be (hopefully) out in feb of 2010. *during the month of december the EP will be given away for free @ waterloo records with the purchase of the 2009 release 'YEARBOOK'. *"polvo's martinis" is one of the three songs on the EP so i put up a scratch recording of it my good buddy, patrick herzfeld, and i did last week.
more details to come!
i hope this finds everyone well and eager for all hallows eve.
