Welcome DJ Rhude to Rapmullet.com. Its the future stars of Rap, people. Click the cover, peep the tracklist. The shit is eastcoast heavy but Rhude did throw in a few "OT" MCs. Matter of fact the whole "bring NY back" is played out like MCs saying "you crazy for this one" on the beggining of their tracks. The problem is not NY MCs its the beats but that's a whole different topic. Cop the CD and you'll be surpised who shines brightest on here and it's not who you think.

I fuck with Jae Millz and truth be told his latest single is dope. "My Swag" is getting spins and it proves he can make actual songs and the transistion from mixtape to mainsteam is possible. The next cat that you're gonna see blow up is Red Cafe. "What It Be Like" was cool but his joint with Akon "Natural Born Hustla" is the wheel. Red got a natural style on the MIC while the rest of these MCs with so called "swagger" are trying to hard. Hands down this cat A-Smash had the best track on the CD with "Good Music". I never heard dude before but I like what he has to say. Termanology with "Hustler" is a slept on joint. I've been bumpin this on the low. A cat that is truly slept on is Stimuli. He rhymes with ease on "I'm From Everywhere" and he the attitude that an MC from NY should have. On that West Coast shit, Balance reigns supreme. "Boomin' System 2k7" is a classic mixtape joint for your ass. Of course you got Ransom with "Good & Evil" putting it all into perspective. Wiz Khalifa is a name I've heard before but never actually heard him rhyme but he's got skills with a straight up style on the MIC. Outta the South comes Smitty on "Heat Down Low". I can't see DJs not fucking with Smitty but he remains slept on somewhat.

Props to Rhude for putting out todays mixtape stars. I don't think all these MCs will blow but their all right on the edge and a hit song seperates them from superstardome. I hope Rhude drops more consistiently, he's got a good ear talent as evident with choosing MCs like A-Smash, U.G, and MAF. Not the most known MCs but they hold their own along side some of the big names and they very well may just be the future stars of RAP. (8/28/06)
