So, I recently realized that I haven't made much mention of my current recording project. If anyone has wondered why I've dropped off the planet again, one of the reasons is that I'm recording a new album, to be titled "Of Waking...".
Stephen Orsak signed on to engineer an co-produce and the experience thus far has been tremendously pleasant.
This is more of a solo/acoustic-based album- not to say that there won't be some drums and bass. We're getting great help from Wayne and John on that end.
But this time around, I wanted to make a record that conveyed the songs more than the players- something that I could tour behind as a solo act.
Also, it's a chance to pair a couple old favorites that never made it onto tape with some fresh innovations that are virgin to the stage.
Lastly, it's a small nod to the likes Nick Drake and Andrew bird.
Anyway, I should be able to rap things up by the beginning of 07.
So, anticipate CD releases in Austin, Denver, and New York in the Spring. Plus some dates on the West Coast this summer.
