obviously...
this was a big loss.

to some people who are quick to judge, many may pass it off as nothing. I'm sure you all received the text messages that in my opinion were in poor taste. Many consider the negative image that he recently portrayed as his final, however, coming from a musical perspective, the impact he has made on the musical world will undoubtedly have a very long lasting effect.

As a youngster, i myself was GREATLY influenced by him in a musical way. I learned a great deal from playing the "Bad" cassette tape endlessly, flipping it back and fourth over and over again. I remember listening to the "Dangerous" album and find myself in a musical state of awe.

As kids, we would gather around the tv set to watch the premiers of his videos, which by the way used to premier on prime time tv.

it was that big of a deal.

In no way will any artist spinning on the radio come anywhere CLOSE to shaping music in the way he has. period.

His music had a strong impact, and i was shocked, like many, to hear about the loss that our musical world has suffered. So, whatever your feelings about him as a person may be, please consider that this was a musical icon, and his sounds and textured vocal harmonies and catchy hooks taught many a musician what music was all about.

For those of you who purchased or obtained a copy of my first CD release, which was a few years back (and yes a bit dated...), you'll notice there was even a michael jackson cover on there, which was Liberian Girl. Only the true fans of MJ would have spotted that, however. So, in honor of his passing, i decided to put it up. Consider my heartfelt appreciation for him, and my way of saying thank you.

hope you all enjoy, and you'll hear from me soon.

Oh...Lucio?
Lucio Garcia

Sometimes I think only us musicians can relate to Michael Jackson and really feel the loss of this. Depite all the negative talk, Michael Jackson inspired me overall...  and to me there will be no one like him. Glad you posted this Jay
