On
March 14th at 5pm and March 21st at 5:30pm CTV First Story will air the
concert "A Tribute to Coast Salish Jazz Legend Mildred Bailey". Among
many other talented performers Gillian Thomson from Sister Says is
featured in this segment.

A
tribute to one of our own. Mildred Bailey (1907-1951) was an early Jazz
singer, popular in the 1930's. We feature vocal stylings by Skeena
Reece, Gillian Thomson, Cheryl L’Hirondelle, Renae Morriseau &
Margo Kane. Band lead by Johannes Grames who is one of Vancouver's
premier guitar players well versed in jazz, blues, and contemporary
music.
