It's interesting. I too love stationery. And writing. The feeling of writing in a completely virgin notebook (with the correct choice of pen) was such a wonderful feeling. Making your first mistake and scribble out, infuriating.

And who are your favourite writers now?
(if you don't mind another question?)

'Don't write what you know. You don't know what you know.' - I liked that.

I'm so jealous. I got rejected by an agent I wanted to use and now everyone is telling me to get used to it. Poo! Anyway well done on being all the way up to J! And changing genre!

It keeps my hands occupied so I can't pick my nose.

Seems to be a recurring theme, that.

So you type, rather than use a pen?

Yes. Two finger typing. Both index fingers. This email has taken me nearly an hour to write.
Seriously, I started to write to keep my sanity. Giving up a twenty year career in order to keep alive a brain damaged daughter with chronic lung disease, 24 hours a day 2 hourly drugs and all other care with no help, no respite and no sleep meant that I either gave in to the brain-killing temptation of Jeremy Kyle or found something else to keep my sanity. Writing forced my brain to focus on something positive and stopped a slow decline into madness. I hope.
