Volenté's second album, Butterflies Fall Away is set to be released on Monday, July 21st and it will be available from www.dockrad.com, from amazon.com - click here to pre-order, and all good record shops. You'll be able to download the album and individaul tracks from itunes and it's also online to buy from a host of other download sites...here's the details

South Wales singer-songwriter Volenté returns with her long awaited second album entitled "Butterflies Fall Away". After critical acclaim for her debut album "Cold Clean", Volenté returns with this new illuminating album. Compared by critics to the likes of Bjork, cult indie favourites the Sundays, Lambchop and Kate Bush, this album presents us with Volenté's thoughts on life, love and loss over twelve haunting tracks, all written, produced, arranged and performed by Volenté herself.
Since starting out as a session singer in London in the late -1990s, and after having collaborated on many musical projects, South African born Volenté has developed her own personal style as heard on Butterflies Fall Away and will throw off the shackles of being studio-bound to play live at a number of select gigs throughout 2008.

Radio Appearance
Volenté appears on BBC Radio Wales' Mixing it show this Saturday night, July 19th - you can listen live here, and the show is at 11pm UK time, Volenté appears at about 11.15pm...

Launch gig!
Volenté launches her album on Thursday, July 24th at the Buffalo Bar, Cardiff at the 'Stafell Fyw night with artists Gareth Bonello and Gwyneth Glyn - doors are 8pm, entry £5...come on down! Volenté will be joined by special guest Peter Coates on the Koto for parts of the gig...
