SATURDAY 17TH OCTOBER

This Saturday 17th October, SO:NI launch a new monthly showcase at The Pavilion Bar, Belfast. The night will be titled "SO:NI Saturdays ROCK", and will focus on the cream of Classic Rock/Hard Rock/Rock'n'Roll/Alternative Rock acts in N.I (as long as the emphasis is on the rock!), with a bit o' metal thrown in for good measure. We have already showcased a number of these acts at our Pavilion gigs in the past, and it's proved itself to be an excellent venue for the genre. We also felt, when we started promoting shows, that this style of music (which we happen to love) was often overlooked by other promoters. The response has been fantastic - and hopefully now the 3rd Saturday of the month at The Pavilion will become an essential night out for rock fans in the city. 4 live acts, and plenty of good rock being played in-between bands. Let's hear from bands who feel this showcase is for them!
The first of these shows will be held at the Ormeau Road venue on Saturday 17th October, and features Trucker Diablo – a groove-laden classic rock outfit from Lurgan, formed by ex-members of Joyrider and Tilted. Also on the bill is Nasa Assassin – a brand new and highly mysterious group with a truly massive, crunching sound, and band members masquerading under such names as “Astro Monk” and “Nebula Qabala”! All will be revealed on October 17th. Black Freeway will also be adding their classic sleazy rock style to proceedings, and Sister Marko will kick off the evening with their darkly melodic alt-rock..
