The Rockingbirds

The Rockingbirds exploded out of Camden Town in the early nineties and wrote the book for credible UK country.  They released their groundbreaking self titled debut album through Heavenly Recordings on Columbia in 1992. Alan Tyler's genius song writing  married  the Cosmic American Music of Gram Parsons  with wry English kitchen sink observation. The Rockingbirds debut  has since become a landmark release and a touch stone for the UK alt country scene that developed in its wake.
The Rockingbirds recently played at the Forever Heavenly festival celebrating 18 years of Heavenly Recordings at the Southbank in September and created a huge amount of press and public interest. The show sold out in minutes! There was such an overwhelming flood of support and  love for the band that Sony took the decision to re-issue their debut record for  first time since its initial release.
The re-mastered Rockingbirds album is released on April 6 with bonus CD
