Hello Everybody..
Hope this finds everyone doing happy and smiley!
Just wanted to say that the band and I would like to thank everyone who voted us a nominee for this years IBMA Awards. We are nominated in the following categories: "Emerging Artist of the Year" - "Mandolin Player of the Year" and "Recorded Event of the Year". Although people always say this kind of thing, it truly is an honor just to be nominated. It's extremely special for me to be up for an award this year with my fellow band members and we certainly appreciate so much support from everyone, as our first year as a band has been a blast!
Secondly.. lots of people have asked me and I suppose the word has finally gotten around, but I will be attending Berklee College of Music this coming fall. I will be moving to Boston this coming weekend and starting school soon after. It was a completely hard decision for me to make, but after lots of prayer and thinking, I feel it's an opportunity that I should take advantage of and hopefully will enjoy greatly! Thanks to lots of touring still happening and in the works, I will be able to be back in beautiful Tennessee fairly often and still see friends and family regularly. Yay!
I'll try to blog again soon as I get settled into the school year and let everyone know what's happening on the road and in the classroom.
