basicly a week ago i got a note on facebook about a gallery I was in shutting its doors.. well UNPROFESIONAL as that fb mesage was it should have been made via PH CALL or e-mail message to MY mail box. explaiining IF I owned a gallery n it had to shut its doors ID contact ALL n give the reason why THEN to top it off i was told that the owner would be dropping off MY art back to em.. NOW it seems HES forgot that n NOW MY 11 pieces are in storage.. at a satalite gallery.. THEN.. seems that ONE gallery may not close so BS is being touted IM not pleased.. THEN i got a PIZZA and soem art supplies for a patron.. So NO more painting on cardboard NOW it shall be canvases...
BUT the fact that there wasnt the correct comunications proves to em that thier heart was NOT in this to begin with.. I dont know all the details BUT when you tell me YOURE gonna return MY art n FAIL to do so.. THATS IT!. once i have all 11 pieces back I WILL BE SATISFIED n NEVER sign up with that gallery again.... SHOULD i write a book on gallery edifice?? pardon me but a gallery should comunicay wiht ALL its artists personaly or via a e-mail NOT ON FACE BOOK.. a gallery should provide music food drinks and the propper advertising n postcard mailers.. The galleries in AZ have absolutly NO CLUE as how a event should be. and then they expect you to PAY fees n shit while your art may or may not be sold.. exposure is one thing yes i agree.. BUT do all that you CAN to promote the works...... NOW the task of retrieving my art. making sure it wasnt damaged n ITS back in my place.. ARTIST BEWARE.....
