The New Year always makes me think of the past; successes, failures, gains and losses.  I'm joyful for new friends I've made in the romance community and the wonderful readers who make writing such a privilege and joy.  But as the new year rolls around I have to reflect on what's the most important thing of all: Love.  Now for some of you that may seem like a cliché but I can assure you, nothing in the world matter if you don't have enough love in your life.  It's my opinion that no matter where you find it, be it a husband or wife, good friends, or pets, grab it, nurture it and never let it go.  After all, love doesn't come along every day.

So with that being said, I cannot understand why so many people are so opposed to gay marriage.  I for one think that, in a world where mothers kill their young children, and husbands beat their wives, and wives plot their husbands' murders to be with men young enough to be their sons, the passionate opposition to gay marriage is sorely misplaced.  All the gay community wants is what everyone else wants; security and commitment.  What is so horrible about that?  I say nothing at all.  Leave the gays alone, let them marry, all they're trying to do openly express their love.  And in today's world full of violence and war, death and murder, I could sure use a lot more love around me.  How about you?

Anyway, what's new for 2009?  I have some great stories planned my dears.  Love a good end-of-the-world romance?  I've got one for you coming in April from WCPT.  It's a sizzling hot story called Scorched Earth and it's a sci fi thriller much like Hungry Planet.  Check back next month and I'll have info on everything coming out…but right now I'd better get cracking so I'll have something to report!

Wishing you a very Happy New Year!

Hugs
