I can't believe it!  I'm 21 years old and I'm afraid of the dark.  I actually turned on the light last night.  I could not get over the feeling that there was a presence in the room.

I didn't keep the light on for long.  But I did everything else that one who is afraid of the dark does.  I scrunched my eyes shut.  I shined my ipod around the room multiple times.  I commanded any evil presences to leave the room in the name of Jesus.  (Ok, I only know a few people that would do the latter....  LOL)  Everytime I did one of these things, I was fully convinced something other than me was in the room.

I eventually did go to sleep just because I was tired...

Ashley,

There could have been a presence in your room. I believe in ghosts. If there is a Holy Ghost, why not an unholy ghost. The Bible clearly talks about evil spirits. What you have to do is to remember that you are a child of God and while those spirits can circle and taunt you, they can not harm you. Unless you or God gives them permission to. (See Job)

You must have been able to relax and trust God enough if you did go to sleep.

Perhaps next time this happens get up and walk around the room quoting scripture you have memorized. Any scripture will do. Ans if you run out of those, sing your worship songs. Not only will that give God glory as it is putting your trust in Gods hands, It will anger the evil that dares enter your space, and it will leave knowing that your trust is in God, not fear.

Yes, I quite realize this. I did say that I was commanding things in the name of Jesus to leave... hehe, I have like 600 worship songs, so I think I'm good!
