Time and time again, White House drug czar Gil Kerlikowske has said that legalization is “not in the president’s vocabulary, and it’s not in mine.” MPP is concerned that Pres. Obama doesn’t know this word. If it’s not in his vocabulary, how can he make an informed decision about its merits?

To clear things up, we created a Web page that allows you to email Pres. Obama the definition of the word legalization. It also gives you a chance to let him know that you support ending marijuana prohibition.

Good letter, but I think that it is important to remember that Obama is ultimately a friend rather than a foe. I think we need to be more patient and give him the credit he deserves. We all are certainly in a better position than we have been.

It's nuts that our own government, WHICH TEACHES US ABOUT THE FAILURES OF ALCOHOL PROHIBITION IN GRADE SCHOOL, continues to support the war on it's own citizens and continues to support the drug cartels killing hundreds in Mexico, so they can continue to target minorities to replace slave labor with prison labor.

Michigan says we're legal now but not a dispensary allowed. Hmmmm. Does this mean if I'm legal I have to wait 4 months for harvest of medications or by illegally? How can you explain that to an inbred or if you're on Capitol Hill, does that make you a Hill-bully? I'll gladly send a note and a vote...Medical Marijuana Caregivers Local 420..

I agree, I believe once we have gotten somewhere with health care reform and education reform the federal government will do more to protect marijuana users. It's a long road that must be paved with patience and awareness. Awareness of the truth is essential, and because not so many people are willing to come out and say "Yes, I smoke pot and not only am I not dangerous to myself, I am a productive member of society." It's going to take a while, I think the revolution is just getting started.
