photo by Chris OrwigThe World premier of Jack's new film En Concert went down this past Saturday at The Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara, California. Jack surprised everyone by making a last minute appearance. The evening included the world premerie of the new film, an exclusive raffle, a Q&A with the director Emmett Malloy and Jack closed out the night with a short acoustic set.
It's been over a year since the Sleep Through the Static tour finished up so there was a little bit of rust, a few "once in a lifetime" versions, some requested rarities from the audience and even an attempt to play a new song for the first time. Looks like we'll have to wait until the next tour to hear that one. All in all Jack, Emmett and the whole Santa Barbara hometown crowd had a great night. And perhaps, most importantly to some, Jack was sporting a new look.
