"Send One Your Love," the new CD from sax icon Boney James claimed the top spot on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart in its first week. Showing James’ crossover appeal, the record also debuted at #21 on the Billboard R&B Chart and entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #76. The album is being powered by 2 current singles. “Stop, Look, Listen” has rocketed to #4 on the Smooth AC Chart and “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight" (introducing Quinn) debuted among the Most Added at Urban AC this week. Released on February 3rd, Send One Your Love is the bestselling, Grammy-nominated sax man’s 12th CD. It features a collection of romantic and sensuous songs by Stevie Wonder (the title track), The Stylistics (“Stop, Look, Listen (To Your Heart),” Barry White (“I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby”), John Klemmer (“Touch”) and a stunning cover of James Taylor’s “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight.” On this track, Boney introduces the world to Quinn. This new R&B vocalist has performed background vocals for artists such as Kelly Price and K-Ci & JoJo and was working as an Atlanta-based session singer when discovered by James. Comments Boney: "When recording the album I started asking friends if they knew a young singer who should be a star. I got Quinn's MP3 in an e-mail. The next day I flew him to L.A. and cut the track in two takes!" "Send One Your Love" also showcases four new James compositions, highlighted by the evocative tune “City Light,” co-written by keyboardist Tim Carmon (known for his work with Eric Clapton). Boney James will soon be on the road in support of "Send One Your Love." Tour dates are listed below.
