The night’s packed lineup started with San Diego’s own Jakked Rabbits . A young, promising band of skate Punks who started releasing albums on Happy Bash Records in the summer of 2007. The Roxy started the show soon after doors opened, as opposed to Los Angeles’ standard hour delay, so the room was still filling up as these kids took the stage. Their energy was high, and they captivated those just coming into the venue right away. By the end of their set they had the crowd as enthusiastic about hating rollerbladers as anyone could imagine. If you’re looking for the new generation of SoCal skate Punks, expect to see these guys in the lead.

***From Metal Mike Himself about the show with us and Gross Negligence.
all time stage diving record at one of our gigs, for at least the last 20 years of our gigs i think.
-saturday night at san marcos / jumping turtle, the security let the teenagers run wild soo they got to use the entire middle 1/2 of the stage as a launching pad, side to side and center microphne right back to an inch from the bass drum
since words are lame to describe the complexities of human action, i will just let the bystanders or phone-cam people fill anyone in
i didn't get banged up by any flying bodies, so it was pretty cool from my end (singing most of the set from the left side, the right side, or in back beside the drum kit in front of the left guitar amp) .***
"Jakked Rabbits and S.L.T.R are San Diego kid punk bands and played awesome angry sets! They sing fast angry songs about how school sucks and they rule. It was fun to see the kids moshing around..."

"Jakked Rabbits crack me up. They sound angry even when they're singing about Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. They are fun to watch, even though they made my ears hurt (but I'm old, so that's okay). They are punk rock not because they wear the right t-shirts (although they do, I guess), but because they are out there, working hard, doing it themselves, and making it happen. Oh yeah, and their singer screams like a girl."

"JAKKED RABBITS is younger then 15- and they are a perfect illustration of diy in action. i was listening to the beastie boys when i was 12- these guys are playing shows. these guys deserve our support, and our attention- the hardcore punk band comprised of 13 year olds of today is the break out indie/alternative act of ten years from now."
