Current mood: lethargic
So, I've been off work since April 9th, the day I had abdominal surgery. It's been 3 weeks now, and tomorrow I go back to work. I'm on a lift restriction of no more that 15 pounds, but otherwise things will be back to normal. It's been odd not going to work, but it's been nice being around to help the kids get ready for school, etc.
My belly looks funny, with these scars on it, but at least they don't hurt any more. The one problem I'm having is the way the nerves are behaving near the scars. You know that tingly feeling you get when your arm goes to sleep because you were laying on it? Well, my belly feels like that *ALL* the time. It doesn't really hurt, it's just really annoying to have that prickly feeling going on all the time. The doctor says it will go away when the nerve endings regenerate, but there's no telling how long that'll be.
I played some guitar this weekend, and it felt GOOD! I'm really anxious to get onstage again. We're going to have a rehearsal in a couple of weeks, just to get reaccquainted, and we're back in action on May 30th at Red9.
