Current mood: awake
Well, I heard back from David Wright at AD Music and this is what he had to say!!!!!
Hi,
had a chance to listen to your demo tonight.
It's not bad, and with a little more work you could make it a lot
better. My main comments would be directed at the rhythms; there are so
many good sample based rhythm capabilities available now that there
really isn't any excuse to have drums that don't sound 'well produced'
and I'd definitely ditch the handclaps! Work on getting more space and
depth in your mix and more sonic variety in your choice of sounds - the
sounds used over the course of the album are a little 'samey'.
Overall though it's a good effort but not ready for a release through a label.
If you feel that you've done all you can with it and want to move on to
your "next" project, then why not put it on myspace or soundclick and
see what sort of reaction you get, which may also help when working on
future music.
Hope that helps, and feel free to send more music if you want feedback
or advice - might not always be able to answer immediately, but will
answer,
All the best,
David Wright
SSO, I think that I'm heading in the right direction as far as my music is concerned but like David said, it needs little more work and so that is whai I will be doing.
Catch you all later.
Best wishes from Paul....
