Following the success of his residency at the Galerie Chappe in Paris back in May (Google it if you missed it) Jarvis Cocker & his fellow musicians will install themselves in the Village Underground, 54 Hollywell Lane, London EC2A 3PQ between Noon & 6pm for 3 days on November 9th 10th & 11th.

As in Paris, they will be inviting members of the public to participate in live musical improvisations (participants must bring their own instruments - amplification provided), they will provide live musical accompaniment to various exercise classes (including Yoga & ,hopefully, Aerobics) & they will be inviting guest artists to come & perform with them at various times during the residency.

The whole event will be webcast & culminate in a concert performance on the Wednesday evening. Details of the event are still being finalised but you may wish to peruse the “manifesto” that accompanied the Parisian version to get a flavour of what it’s all about.

Tickets available from: http://bit.ly/4cCDBI

What a fun idea.  I think it will be so fun for everyone taking the yoga and aerobics classes, too.  They will enjoy it.  At the very least, it won't be boring!  Good luck everyone!

Sounds fun! So you're coming back to Los Angeles afterward to do a gallery run here, right? I know some galleries and I'll even bribe you with free passes to Disneyland...

i've just discovered you by browsing and surfing as i decided not to attend ant fancy nore trashy party for new years and instead stay home alone in my pijamas, decent enough as they're wool and black, quite good looking...i've seen you hitting your head in almost every video, even in the live concert ones, on youtube...sometimes hiting, sometimes caressing...seems you have an interesting relationship going on with yourself...lots of unaswered questions lots of guilts lots of love lots of emotions of many roots...so hello, dear entity and have a beatiful year, beautiful in a maniheistical way of thinking, good and bad and complex and simple, everything one can desire as to evolve as a being. :) all the best, some romanian unknown artist, marina.
