AUSTIN, TX -- Austin music will share the spotlight when the new Yahoo! video webcast series "In Search of Real Food" http://www.food.yahoo.com/realfood streams on Yahoo! Food. Hosted by Dave Lieberman, rising young star of the Food Network, the multi-part series will feature Austin songwriter Trish Murphy on Tuesday, July 24, in a videotaped segment titled 'Rhythm & Food.' The video short includes recipe demonstrations and a solo-acoustic performance taped with a live audience at Austin's Central Market Cooking School.

Independent producer Tim Macklin got the idea for Trish's segment when he stumbled across an online link to 'Austin Music on the Menu,' the Central Market Cooking School's ongoing series of cooking classes led by local musicians. An inspired chef and frequent teacher in the Central Market kitchen, Trish assembled a special menu of her own recipes for the webcast, Southern-inspired dishes set to the soundtrack of her rootsy songs. For complete menu and recipes, visit http://www.trishmurphy.com/newsite/food.htm.

Host Dave Lieberman largely turned the show over to Trish and the school's staff, planting himself in the audience to sample the menu offerings, ask an occasional culinary question, and enjoy the live music between courses. "The pairing of food, wine and music is inevitable in a place like Austin, and it's really inspiring," Trish says of the class. " I think people will get to see a different side of me that hopefully informs the way they hear the songs. I feel lucky to live in a community that utilizes live music so creatively. That's what makes it real."

The segment debuts on Yahoo! Food Tuesday, July 24, 2007 and will be archived thereafter on http://food.yahoo.com/realfood.
