A friend of mine is a graphic artist and put this together.  He's working on another concept as well.

The following are three different concepts.  The first one is my friends drawing.  The second is one I put together.  The third is one my wife Sabrina did for me.

So...tell me which one do you like

thank you very much

I think the first one is a little intense myself but wanted to see what others thought as well.  Its a depiction of Cary Gleeson as possesed by Afrit and Malcolm.  Really scary huh ;-)

God bless you as well

Well I can't see the first one... maybe it is just my settings on this PC? I will look again when I get home... I can see the face but that's it.

If you want a graphic, the second one is pretty darn cool. Though I am not digging the red lettering. I like the shadowed effect lettering in the light, but you need to raise that up off the guy's head. It makes it too busy on the bottom.

If you just want something simple, the letter work in the third one is very well done.

Thanks Sharee,

Hey would you like a copy of the manuscript to look over? If so send me an email and I'll send you a file in a few weeks.  The first copy goes to my buddy Deanna and I want to polish it up nice before I send it to her.  After that I'd love your input especially in your proof reading skillz ;-)

God bless

When placed in comparison to the other two I like the first one because the other two look so blah up against the first ones vibrant and stimulating colors. BUt then again I dont see anything about that cover resembling anything in the book but then again not all covers do.

Keep in mind I dont like the one I did because I was limited to myspace' free banner options and it took me maybe 5 minutes, lol. It wasnt meant to be a book cover, only to promote reading the story on your blog.

What about a blend or compromise of the first and second one?

For me, the mans face is possibly a little much and I personally like covers that show a little about the books storyline.

Hey babe,

The face is a depiction of Cary Gleeson when he's possessed by by Malcolm and Afrit.  I'm no sure why he wanted to go that way, I guess my description of the demons chasing Blake intrigued him and so that's where he went with it.  He's working on another and I have an idea for a third.

Love ya

I would say the middle one is the most intriguing. I do see where the first one was inspired, but I think the story is more about Blake and Katelyn than it is about the demons.

I love how the word enigma is visible in the blinding light. That adds a depth to the second one. I almost didn't catch that at first.

I agree.  I've just noticed that many times the graphics don't actually do much in actually "teasing" what's in the pages.  For some reason while I describing the story to him he keyed in on the Afrit character.  Its good to get input from everyone.

In your comment you mentioned Blake and Katelyn not Blake and Martha...that tells me something about the story as well.  Gives me a lot to consider while I shore everything up.  I've been thinking of adding a few more memories here and there for both Blake and Katelyn.  The memories are already written I just need to see where I can add them.

God bless

Very good point. Though I can see how Martha was a big part of the story, I think the biggest part was about those still making the journey, not those who had found peace and already accepted the Lord by the time the story was taking place. :D

"I think the story is more about Blake and Katelyn than it is about the demons"

Thats what I was getting at in my comment as well. But I did like how the first ones colors caught my attention. Maybe the second one but with some color adjustments?

I prefer the second one, the "Enigma" that is over top of the shadow could to be raised above the shadow. The first is a little intense for me and the third is a little too plain.

When I read the title I thought to myself, "Man that's asking a lot, I have so many opinions to give."

But you got specific.

For me it is a toss up between the last two, yours and Sabrina's. No offense meant to your freind, that first one is just too disturbed for me.

Now if you put a gun to my head and said I had to only pick one, I go with the last one. Reason being the middle one is too reminiscent of something like Close Encoutners of the Third Kind, or E.T. Plus your person has been decapitated by the light. Bad connotation.

And after reading the comments apparently I am the odd man out. Story of my life. And I don't think I would have it any other way.

Decapitated by the light...hmmm maybe you're right LOL.

I really like what Sabrina did with that as well.  I'll have a few more choices soon but thought I'd see what you'ns thought about these.

Hey its great to be an odd ball...I would live any other way either ;-)

The middle one...there's the darkness & light, a character there who might be for either. Maybe spruce it up a bit but definitely the 2nd one. I don't think the 1st one would draw interest to the story, unless it's a just a horror tale. Like the picture of a slasher film, no intrigue, nothing left to the imagination. Just don't think it portrays the depth of what you've written.

The Second one for sure!!! The bright light makes me think of all the surprises Blake encounters in your story and, of course, God. Also I think you ought to put  Author and your name like in your wifes. This first one is just a little too much. I've never looked at your book as a horror but it is THE TRUTH.
