I have always tried to maintain a strict no computer during weekend policy, but I just can’t help myself lately. I’m so far behind this week I can actually see my butt just by looking down.

I brought DH home from hospital on Monday. He’s been keeping me busy. Plus my DD is in winterguard at her highschool they have some big thing coming up so they’ve had practice every day afterschool. So of course Mom’s Taxi service is back in business. Wednesday evening my grandmother took ill so I spent the night in hospital emergency room with her, my mom and one of my aunts.

On top of it all, my stupid computer has been PMSing. I can’t run my media player, my explorer and my mail while writing any longer. Why? Don’t know.

So now I have to shut off everything in order to write. If I miss something--anything--the program freezes up and shuts down then I lose all my work. Yes I’ve been calling my computer some lovely names all week.

Anyway. Friday afternoon I sat down at my computer, I was able to run my media player at the same time I ran my word program--thank goodness, since it is absolutely impossible for me to work without music.

I have three books I should be working on. Three that really need to be finished. But there was this thing that grabbed me. I began typing this story and the words flowed from my fingers, into my keyboard and just continued pouring from me. Since yesterday afternoon I’ve written 20k.

No, I’m not complaining-not by a long shot! I’m thrilled it’s happening. But this isn’t my typical fare and I’m wondering why its coming up now, why its so strong that I can’t break loose. I took my shower this morning and the story played like a movie in my head.

I went to the store and I could see clips from the story. I could hear the voices from the characters. I couldn’t help but come home and get right back on the computer. That’s how the 10k was added today.

I even took a dinner break but couldn’t stop thinking of the book. Guess that means is gonna kick butt, huh?

Guess we’ll see. I’ll tell you all about it later.
