Nellscom Pewter is a small country situated on 2 islands in the South Pacific. The larger island, called C; Drive, and the much smaller one called F: Drive. Recently there was a bloody coup for power fought there. Before the coup, C: was the nation of Windows, where the benevolent queen of Windows reigned over a large happy population. The main national cash crops were music and movies, generally made and warehoused in the district of the island called Prog Ramfiles, under the direct control of various secretaries. The Secretaries of Aimframe, Ares and Common were the most powerful. F: Was the land of Ubuntu, a native population also under the protection of the benevolent Nell, queen of Windows. In Ubuntu the populace spoke a different language and had their own odd customs, not well understood by the population of the larger island.

A few months ago, an upstart faction started up on F:. Wild revolutionaries there in the peaceful land of Ubuntu attacked their sister C: and utterly destroyed the government of Windows. They destroyed the governmental city of WinNT, and moved the wreckage to the Isle of F:, where the damaged WinNT was renamed Trash:. The revolutionaries then attempted to make good Queen Nell a criminal on the Isle of F:, and refused her passwords when she made attempts to enter.

The wise Queen Nell, seeing how things were going, and wishing above all things for peace in her island nation, so they could all go back to singing songs and watching movies, brought in her wily old counselor, Wolf, to set things right. After 47 years of research, the much older Wolf came to the queen with his report.
"Your Majesty, though you have been denied the sight of your beloved Windows for several years, the populace had remained, and they dutifully cultivate the music and movies for which the land of C: Drive has long been justly famous..."
"Please be brief, Lord Counselor! Tell me how I may regain my throne and my files," said the Queen of Windows.
"This is simplicity itself, my queen, but it will result in the destruction of the Ubuntu way of life of the people of F: Drive. You see, there are a great many..."
"My Lord Counselor, please get moving on this re-coup. I have too long been denied the pleasure of my castle upon C: Drive."
"Yes, Your Majesty." I go now to accomplish the recoup."

So the wise counselor took monkeys and went into the land of F: Drive and reformatted it in the image of Windows, and populated it with all of the files and services required to reinstate the government of Windows, however, with great skill, and a good bit of luck, he managed to keep the music mills intact upon the larger island of C: Drive. The secretaries of Aimframe, ares and so on were all happy to be able to maintain their domains upon the larger C: Drive Island, and Queen Nell's old city of MyDocs was renamed and made a museum in her honor.
On the renewed island of F: Drive, there was far less room to build, so the Secretary of Ares suggested the queen keep all music programs in the old district of Program Files on the Island of C: Drive. To install the music industry upon F: would quickly fill the island and cause problems within the government area. So Queen Nell took back her kingdom and they all lived happily ever after.
