Last year the Beursschouwburg invited DJ, composer and dance producer Buscemi to write a new soundtrack for silent movie ‘Man with a Movie Camera’ (RU, 1929) by Dziga Vertov, a playful urban documentary and masterpiece of soviet cinema. When having finished his soundtrack, Buscemi then asked jazz virtuoso Michel Bisceglia to rework his original composition for a subsequent live tour. Both composers-musicians were joined on stage by Jo Mahieu (guitars), Werner Lauscher (bass), Lode Verkampt (cello) and Rony Verbiest (horns). This live score is now edited on an album CD.
