Want to know God's will for your life?
Then answer the question:
What ignites your heart?
Forgotten orphans? Untouched nations? The inner city? The outer limits?
Heed the fire within!
Do you have a passion to sing? Then sing!
Are you stirred to act? Then get involved with drama!
Do you have a love for dancing? Then dance!
Do you ache for the ill? Then treat them!
Do you hurt for the lost? Then teach them!
As a young man I felt the call to preach. Unsure if I was correct in my reading of God's will for me, i sought the counsel of a minister I admired. His counsel still rings true.
"Don't preach," he said, "unless you have to."
As I pondered his words I found my answer:
"I have to.
If I don't, the fire will consume me."

Dream big dreams,
have big ideas.
Don't limit yourself.
There are so many big things in our world that need fixing or someone to make them better.
There is no reason that you can't be the one to do it.
All that is required is for someone to go beyond the dreaming stage and make it happen.
Just figure out where there is a need, or something that needs improvement, then work toward making your solution a reality.
Who knows... you may change history!

i love to sing and someday i will have my own album out!
i have a passion for designing and someday (soon) i will get my t-shirt business up and running!
i love to dance so there is no reason why i can't dance if i want to (who cares if i'm not the best at it, i'm having fun).
i love music and maybe i want to teach myself the violin. or take piano lessons.
my best friend has a dream to open a family-friendly fun center filled with laser tag, rock walls, arcades, paintball, go-karts, basketball, batting cages, a food court, etc. And she wants people to have a place to go and have fun and be a kid again because you're never too old to have fun! And it's going to be called Atmosphere. There is no reason why she can't reach that dream and open this place one day!
We all struggle with fear, insecurities, doubts, depression, apathy, etc. when it comes to our dreams and passions. It's completely normal. Just don't let that shatter your dreams. You have to keep going. You are the only person on this earth that can make things happen in your life.
If you love to sing, then find places to sing, or write music and locate a recording studio.
If you love to dance, then dance, open up a dance studio, teach dance classes, search for places that are looking for people to join dance groups.
If you love to act, then get involved in local drama, start a drama team in your community, your church. Look for job opportunities to try out for tv shows or movies.
If you love kids and/or teenagers, find places where you can interact with them, help out at a Boys&Girls Club, get involved in your church's youth group, open up your house once a week and have them come over and hang out, become a teacher, become a counselor, work at a youth camp, etc!
If you love to serve and help others, shovel snow for your neighbors for free, go to senior citizen's centers and talk with them, help out at a soup kitchen, open up your own orphanage, become a foster parent, work at a hospital, become an EMT, hang out with someone and just listen, give to charities, etc.
The possibilities are endless.

strive to reach your dreams and don't quit.
i can't tell you not to let anyone make you feel like you can't do something, because you already know that.
just don't ever let yourself think you can't.
