This Monday 20th October 2008 I will be setting off to Aberdeen on my bike from my home in Bristol. I hope to cover the distance of roughly 600 miles by 4th November.  It will be fairly leisurely at an average of 50 miles a day.

I will be getting everyone who I stay with to sign a copy of our book, the Selfsufficientish Bible* then offering it as a prize in a really simple competition -see our web forum for more details

I am also asking people to sponsor me all  money raised will be going to our local co-operative.  A group of people and one space that works as an Photo lab, bookshop, coffee shop, art space, teaching and training centre with further plans to develop into a food co-op in an area with three massive supermarkets and a lack of local shops.
