a few summers ago, i spent three weeks in a hotel room in los angeles with chad kroeger. we drank cabernet suavignon and absinthe and wrote songs together. we played "tequila sunrise" at an open mic night on the sunset strip on our matching ovation acoustic/electric guitars. we bought twin pit bulls, a male and a female, and named them r. kelly and kirsti alley. we used to walk them together through eccho park. every friday, we played the lottery. i used chad's birthday and he used mine. it was a magical time of my life, a time i will never, ever forget.
