2009 Nissan GT-R debuts! And the wait has been worth it. With a 0-60 time in 3.5 seconds, the quarter mile in 11.7 seconds, skid-pad ratings of 1.0 Gs, an incredible 0.27 Cd, and a top speed of 193 mph, the 2009 GT-R has the performance of a supercar … and a price in the outrageously reasonable $75K range. Go now to www.nissansportmag.com for pics and more details. Nissan Sport will have ongoing coverage of the GT-R being unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show over the next several days, as well as a detailed write up in the Winter 2008 issue.

MORE GT-R news. To get the complete scoop on the new car, we recommend two more sites. Nissan's official site www.gtrnissan.com and our partner website www.nagtroc.com (North America GT-R Owners Club). Both are superb and well worth the visit, and will have updated info tonight at 1 a.m. Eastern when the car is officially unveiled in Tokyo .

And More GT-R. To prevent price gouging, Nissan is considering voiding the warranty on the GT-R if new owners try to flip the supercar to make a profit. Sell the car the in the first year of ownership and Nissan may have a beef.

The new Fall 2007 issue already setting sales marks. Even with Nissan Sport's expansion into another 100+ Barnes & Noble bookstores, the new magazine, featuring Alex Yao's stunning stroked 350Z, is flying off the shelves of B&N, Borders, and Hastings . Get your copy now or scratch your head and wonder later why you didn't pick it up.

Unveiling soon: Nissan Murano. The LA Auto Show this November marks the debut of the new Nissan Murano. And from what we hear, Nissan is going to improve on the tight CUV in a number of ways. The Cube you'll see, though, is not the version set to hit the US market.

Tested: Diesel Frontier, Maxima. Okay, the Frontier was tested in New Zealand (as was the Maxima), but even though we'll never see that truck (or the RHD Max), we got an incredible story, including two amazing events held in the small country that drew some of the finest cars and trucks we've ever seen. Look for a future story in Nissan Sport.

New Winter 2008 issue coming together. We've got coverage of the new GT-R, Ron Carter's trio of incredible classic Datsuns (240Z, Roadster, and 510), and an unbelievable 240SX built by a teenager. And that's just the beginning. If you are a Sentra fan, we've got a drag Sentra that will knock your socks off. Tech tips for numerous models. And coverage of more Nissans, Datsuns, and Infinitis than you can find anywhere on this planet.

FreshAlloy.com is an official Nissan Sport partner website. When it comes to all-Nissan/Infiniti/Datsun forum sites, there is exactly one that fits the perfect bill: www.freshalloy.com. With forums for just about every car and truck Nissan has ever produced (at least it seems that way), Fresh Alloy is number one by a looong mile. If you haven't visited, go. It'll be well worth the click. There are some very educated members, especially in the 240SX ranks.

A guy tried to commit suicide by jumping into my truck. I was doing 45 mph and he jumped out from behind a bush smack into the side of the truck, mistiming his jump. He survived, damage to the SUV is in the $1,000s of dollars, and he tried to run away but the cops caught him. Arguably the strangest hit and run ever.
