Andrea Conte Master Acting Class Graduate will share her experiences at what it takes to succeed in the Film/Theatre industry in Hollywood or South Florida. The lecture will begin at 5:00 to 7:30. Marc's acting class is cancelled as he is filming his movie. Bring your headshots/ resume's and questions as Andrea will bring you up to date on the misconceptions/myths/and the business of the business in LA. Andrea worked in the South Florida market for years so she will address this area as well. She is well versed on many aspects of the business and will be happy to answer your questions about both markets. , she will provide actual breakdowns from LA and time permitting, will guide you on script analasis and how to stand out from the rest when auditioning. She will tell you which books/websites she finds most useful. She attended a few classes Mr. Reynolds taught in LA and will describe those classes. Cost of the lecture is $10 Ralph Villani will be auditioning female actors for his latest film on Saturday January 12th from 12-5pm at the museum. (see below) RALPH VLLANI'S FILM AUDITIONS Villani Rockhill Productions are auditioning for female roles in the full length feature "USS Seaviper" The film is non-SAG. These scenes will be filmed in Florida. All parts are deferred pay The auditions will be on Saturday January 12th at the Burt Reynolds Museum / Institute in Jupiter from 12 noon to 5pm. Marc Zatorsky's class is an opportunity to work with an instructor who will develop a character specifically designed for you and write original material that will highlight your talents. The workshop provides a great opportunity for anyone who desires stage time a chance to perform in front of your peers or work on your monologue and audition pieces. It also provides an opportunity to perform existing projects (many of them written and directed by Marc) with other actors, perform improv games, stand-up routines, cold reads and much more. The workshop provides a friendly atmosphere where everyone from the first time student actor to the seasoned performer has the opportunity to perform on stage. Marc's class is fun and educational at the same time. It provides an outlet for all actors to continuously work on their craft. Ralph Villani is a director, producer, actor and musician. He has studied with the New Group Theatre, the Tribecca Drama Institute and HB Studios in New York City. As an acting teacher his focus is within the methods of Sanford Meisner and Stella Adler. He had served on the Board of Directors for Theatre Gym in New York City. He has been artistic director for Bravado Theatre Company. Class Outline The acting class is held every Wednesday evening at 7:00PM. This class is for the beginner as well as the advanced actor. The class is about 2 ½ hours. The cost is $10.00 per class. The best definition of acting that I know is: "Acting is behaving truthfully in imaginary circumstances." It would be wise to weigh this statement carefully before continuing, for it is more than a definition, it contains a fundamental philosophy regarding the art. The key word in this phrase is "truthfully." It is over this word and its possible alternate "effectively," that almost all disputes arise. This class is built on the foundation of this method.
