Category: Life

Thank you for your overwhelming response as to whether or not I should blog.  The answer was a resounding yes. As I stated in my question about blogging it has been a wild weekend at the Bonaduce home.  First, my car was stolen while the police were already at my house responding to another matter.  You would think that would be uncomfortable enough finding out both of the very polite police officers had arrested me in the past.  I didn't remember my particular crimes but apologized for my behavior just the same..  They said that I was quite the gentleman, but I left them no choice but to arrest me.  I didn't fully understand what that meant and I thought it best not to pursue in front of my daughter.  Later on, I learned that one had arrested me but released me because he thought my crime was appropriate.  I was helping Roseanne Barr do an appearance at Tower Records some 10 years ago when she was under the impression she could sing and she was very rude to me.  I am the consummate professional so I would never delay taping by getting into an argument so I simply went outside and urinated on the driver's seat of her mobile dressing room.  After some discussion the police officer and I agreed that this was a perfectly reasonable response. The other police officer had arrested me in a sweep of a bar that sold under age people drinks and had a reputation for selling drugs.  I was over age and possessed no drugs.  So actually, as my rap sheet goes (or went, as I have not been arrested in 17 years) it was a fairly dull retelling of my old ways.  I have never done anything that I believe to be truly bad behavior but I have been arrested for some interesting stuff and this wasn't it. I once had a fight with a transvestite and was arrested for assault.  This was not my fault.  This guy was a jerk and was going to get his ass kicked no matter what he was wearing.  I respect every woman's right to accessorize but I draw the line at a penis.  His Dick didn't even match his shoes.  As I said this was not my fault, but a fistfight with the drag queen is far more interesting then urinating on Roseanne's dressing room.  Although I must admit they both make me laugh.  I hope I did this blog thing right and I will try and keep them short and sweet and send them out often.  Thank you for being even slightly interested.  Love Danny.

I'm very happy that you decided to blog. It's really nice to get to sort of talk to the people you see on TV on a regular basis.  It seems to me like urinating on the driver's seat was the right thing to do and if I had the equipment I may have done it myself.  I look forward to many more blogs to read, and I'm sure each and every one of them will be very interesting.

Dear Danny and Gretchen,

Keep on blogging as I really am enjoying your stories.  Sorry about your car being stolen...  what kind of car was it?  Not your red one on the show was it?  I grew up out in the country and lived 20 miles from any town and 15 miles from school.  You can't get into much trouble living on a cattle ranch!!!  So I was angel...   I love to read your blogs Danny about your life in general.  You are very interesting to me.  I wish you and your family the best in life.  You truly seem like good people.   Take care and have a great week since the weekend sucked for you!  I hope you get your car back and without any damage.

Love,

Renee in Texas

Yes!  Great Blog!  These don't expire like your fabulous bulletins.

I loved the show tonight..Gretchen looked fabulous!  The bacon-wrapped doggie...wow.  I wish my Dad would have done stuff like that with me, minus the guns.  I'm scared of them, real or not.

I am seriously bummed out by the car being ripped off.  I love GTO's,  the '65 is my favorite...yours close second.  I'd like a turquoise one with red interior just like my brother used to have.

Have a great week, and I look forward to next weeks show!

Danny, how the heck can your car be stolen when a police car is already there? OMG THAT was ballsy!  (Though sorry about your car! Didn't you get it back?)

As far as the other "incidents" very interesting. You definitely cannot say that you've lead a boring life!

ROFLMAO! Roseanne still thinks she can sing and is now torturing young children with her songs. She's got a myspace that plays her songs of torture. Too bad you can't go pee on it LOL! I remember when you knocked that transtesticle freak's dick in the dirt. I thought you were pretty justified in that too. I lived in Phoenix, born and raised and remember as teenagers, cruising Van Buren throwing pennies at the hookers. Obviously I didn't toss the dude enough pennies for surgery. Go figure. You know now they don't just linger on Van Buren, but are all the way up to Camelback and 35th Avenue?!?!? Is that shit nuts or what? I tried moving back to Phoenix in 2003 but ran away again. Couldn't stand the heat, the overcrowding, the fact that you couldn't get a job if you weren't bilingual, the traffic, or the crime so we bailed and moved back to Iowa as fast as we could. Wasn't fast enough to keep my 17 year old son from becoming addicted to Meth while we were there. The shit drove him to the brink and he committed suicide a year later. Needless to say Phoenix is no longer home, it's just a neato hell where a good portion of my friends and family are trapped.

The blog entry was not only correctly done but I loved reading it. As for Roseanne, I suspect if the tables had been turned. She would of done something less appropriate.  You did the right thing and she can't sing! Not a lick, her voice can cause deafness in dogs and hamsters.(and grub worms)

Danooooooooooo,

YES on the blog!  Makes it easier on you guys and all your fans can also see who else is your fan and make new friends.    TV Guide showed the paranormal show as being on over the weekend but instead it was another group.  I can't wait to see your episode!  and with Chris too!  I've loved their shows too.  Where's Flava Flav and The Hulk????

I too have always enjoyed your sense of sick humor and very quick wit!  You are FAST on your feet!  (or your tongue, maybe....)

But there was something that bugged me.... 2 things actually.  1) when you called Gretchen a Ho on the last episode.. and just when you got back in the car!  Did she kick you outta the car after seeing that??? I was cringing for her... and you too.  Man, that was baaaaad, dude.

My second question deals with when you were on Beck's show when he asked you the pivoting moment ... when the light went on... and you replied, "when I realized I had cheated on my wife" or something to that effect.  But yet you did it again... and again and again, for a very long time...  So my question to you is, wouldn't a response more like "the moment I'd been caught cheating on my wife" have been a more appropriate response?

I only ask you because you're very into self-examination and everyone just seems to let this stuff slide right by.  I really do admire you... but feel compelled to stick up for your lovely wife  ...  you really are the lucky and I do hope the best for all of you!!  Your kids are so cute and adorable!  I wish nothing but the best for them... but hey, they aired this stuff and so I have questions... only 2.

Sincerely a fan since 1970
