On MySpace page you can currently hear the 1st movement of my
String Trio for George Crumb performed by Teo Benson, violin, Sarah Bass, viola, and Brendan Kellogg, cello, at the Feb. 8, 2008, Pleasure for the Ear concert in Seattle, as well as the 2nd movement of the world premiere performance by the Third Angle New Music Ensemble in July 2004.
On my website (
gregbartholomew.com), I have posted all three movements of the
String Trio from the premiere performance, the Seattle performance and a 2006 studio recording. You can compare and contrast! Each recording has its own virtues (and its own flaws...).
Have a listen and let me know what you think.
The Langroise Trio of Idaho have recorded the
String Trio for an upcoming release on their new CD expected out in April 2008.
