We are walking on the Moon !
Thats how incredible this is .
Y'all gotta understand .
In my life time I have seen some shit .
Remember I was born in 1959 when Black people couldn't vote !
Seen white only signs .
Been in the deep south .
Been in the Watts uprising and Rodney King dustup too !
Had Tanks rolling up my street .
Seen my Grandmother and Mother cry when Dr king was killed .
Ate Black Panther free lunches .
Did drop drill in school in case of Nuclear attack in the 60's .
Seen the Crips and Bloods being born in the 70's
Crack in the 80's .
Real Hip Hop in the 90's .
And George W. Bush in 00 .

I would give ANYTHING ! to see the reaction of the elders I grew up under when the first Black president was elected tonight .

I see them in my mind right now .
Dressed as they were in their day .
Pants pulled high .
Big church hats .
Red lips and strong old lady perfume .
Shined shoes .

I voted for them .
I voted for my Children .
I voted for my unborn great great grand children .
I voted for the planet .

I voted for you !

I know that's right! We are indeed blessed to be able to participate in and see this day. I hope that our children and generations to come take this as an opportunity to no longer use the excuse of their living in a racist society (although indeed it is) or that they can't do anything because there are no opportunities.

I love Black men and I especially love a Black man who has a beautiful Black woman by his side :)

Thank you for sharing the knowledge and your perspective.

Like that Hip Hop LP said, "and it don't stop"
Like that Reggae LP said, " and here comes' the Dub version
Like the elders said, "Look at that boy, that's that Obama boy"

See this I can completely understand, tho I feel it would be disrespectful to say I can truely feel that, being that I did not live threw those times and situations. Tho i can have some understanding and some feeling, but to act as if I can feel what you feel, like I said, it would be disrespectful to you and every other man and woman who lived threw all of that.

Now what I am questioning, and what bothers me the most about this whole celebrating obamas victory is.. Do you realy believe he is going to make a difference? Do you really believe he is so much different from other politicians and not a part of the machine?

Last night during the celebration I got the ILLEST,SICKEST feeling like we have been duped, all this feeling of victory, of hope, of comfort feels so false to me, in the sense that the victory of us having a president that is going to make a major difference in our society for the better. At the end of the day, he is still a politician, he is still a part of the machine that keeps humanity in battery form.

I feel like "they" gave it to obama quite sometime ago, and this whole mccain palin shit was put in place just to scare the shit out of everyone, which it literally did, if I had a dollar for everytime I heard a person say "if mccain and palin get in office im moveing to a different country" and actually look into moving just in case.
Beyond that, all these years with bush in office haha

So everyone gets motivated to go vote cause they want to make a difference, obama wins and there is this giant sense of victory/comfort going around, but if obama was already chosen, and mccain and palin where just pawns, what did we realy win? We are just falling for the strategy.

Put bush in office, have him be the bad guy, have him do a bunch of dirty work for 8 years, he is a problem for the majority of americans with brains, then put mccain and palin next in line to keep people in fear, then have obama win to kick in the false sense of relief/hope

They create the problem, then create a problem solver to keep the people in belief that they have power, but they still control it all and we are still powerless.

I am extremely glad to have a blackman as president because it does show progress in our society, but its the giant sense of comfort/hope/victory that bothers me. We still live in amerikkka, we are still batterys. I believe we are getting closer and closer to a one world government, and this false sense of comfort/hope/relief can very well make it easier to get to that point.

I am very aware that I could be completely wrong about all this,That I am somewhat young, defiantly immature, and borderline insane at times. I genuinely, from the bottom of my "heart" HOPE that I am wrong and noid and stupid, but I can not shake this feeling that I am getting and am hopeing I can find someone to explain to me logically why I am wrong.

I want to be optimistic too, I am almost jealous when i see people so confident with optimism in this whole situation, but like I said, I just cant shake this fucking feeling and its realy bothering me.

WE are becoming WHO we ARE and have been all along!

Looking in Jesse's tearful eyes.

...and the happy teared-eyes of my 17 yr old daughter... her words "I'm so proud to be here to experience with this with you Mommy! This is what you have been telling me all my life!"

Who reaps the hard won benefit of Fannie Lou Hamer?

Of Medgar, Fred Hampton, El Hajj Malik, 3 Little Girls...?

If you were on the Moon, you could have heard the WHOLE EARTH CHEER as America, conciously, or not, paid off some Karmic Debt.

Its an amazing time...

I love that we share it, JMD; Earthings and Ancestors...
