of course it's about praying mantis!

i think i was just about to turn 10yrs old when i run into this natural wonder happening right in my neighborhood.

it was in suburb of tokyo where hippies used to lounge. 'twas in early 70's. one day, during my solo expedition, i saw a mini-mantis positioned on mega-mantis. although no one had educated me about "it", i knew exactly what was happening.

if i had someone to share the experience with, i would've said, "far out".

the next day, i encountered a scene that was further out.
yup, mega was eating mini. mind blown, i didn't think to tell anyone about it.

i don't remember how many days passed before i summoned enough courage to go by the next-door wilderness one more time. but when i did, what i witnessed was something way beyond good/evil. mega was on a same leaf, sat still with a slight angle, with a stream of ants crawling out of her like theme park tube slide.

i am not sure if her death came before or after she became the tube slide. but i think that day, i was invited into the side of life where anything truly goes. i know i have never been the same since.
