Whatsup man,

This ya boi Capital P in tha place to be...Back in Dallas after a stint down in Houston, helping promote the album.  If your in for a long read then sit down and get your boot straps tight...if not, just read the last paragraph for my summary of the experience we had in Houston.

First and foremost, Dallas can learn something from the way other cities do their hip hop events.  I have never felt so much love in one city in my life!  PERIOD.  We arrived at Fitzgeralds, which by the way has far superior sound to any club/venue i've been to in Dallas, you can tell they put in a lot of money just for their sound system.  Dedicated 8 15 inch subwoofer's on both sides of the stage (level with people) and two three channel mid/high's hanging on both sides of the stage, not including the speakers they had upstairs, in the back by the bar and the outside patio speakers all hooked up and running through the pa system.  Now I know a lot of kats have no control over pa system, that is more club owner details, so I guess that one is for the club owners...if you really want to have a respectable place start investing the money into your sound system and it will attract more people.  We did a sound check at 7 and it was soooo professional...all the bands/acts were lined up to do their sound checks with audio and mic's along with the dj's.  It only took us 5 minutes to do sound check but when we got on stage there were no suprises...we as the artist knew the hot spots and also knew how we would sound on the pa system before hand...so there was no HEY SOUND GUY TURN ME UP during the set!  This is a lesson learned for the event promoter/planners in our area, don't want our artists to be talking to the sound guy during his set...well then invite them out earlier to do a sound check.

We arrived back at the spot at 10:00 to get ready for our set and believe me guy, there was an act .. us at 10:15 and people were THERE, it was not like Dallas where nobody shows up till midnight.  Granted more people showed up as the night went on...but from start there were atleast 100 people in the place to be.  By the time it was time for My and J-Kid's set (thanks to J for making the trip...you can ask him how dope it was) there were maybe bout 150 people in the building at 10:30, yeah yeah yeah, small number compared to the 400+ people that ended up turning out, but still that small EARLY crowd was probably equal to our crowd's around 11:30 in Dallas.  So with that being said we did our set and the crowd loved it, we repped Dallas and Houston showed tremendous LOVE.

After the set we were walking the crowd passing out promo stuff, etc etc...even two hours later people were still talkin bout "you dem cats from Dallas, ya'll ripped it".  We had groupies, yes I said GROUPIES shout out to Kala and Carol...chicks that latched on from the get go after our set who were just letting them all hang out...and they weren't that bad either...but sorry ladies Capital P is a one woman man.  We made connects to the event promoter for Scion Houston and he put us on anything we can get on in Houston...warehouse live seems to be the spot, but this man showed tremendous love and support and we have formed a bond that a lot of people need to form.  Everyone in Houston just felt fresh, they felt ahead of Dallas with music...they dug GOOD music...no one got up there and did a one two step...and the emcee's down there...shizz I love Dallas emcee's but i'm sorry to say, they are just two steps ahead of us, with their beats, rhymes and whole coordinated show.

Shout out to Hero, Legendary KO, Mic Skillz and many more...they rocked tha HELL outta they show...so much energy, so much crowd involvement and jeez I was taking notes and Dallas should takes notes as well.  We met people from Georgia who came all the way down here to do their thing...KO just got off tour in Prague and the thing is check this DALLAS, their emcee's/artists were not stuck up.  We got love from everyone...the signed artists, the unsigned artists...everyone and it wasn't hard to make contacts with anyone...I got people's numbers who are touring in Europe/Cali/New York etc...and it was the same theme..."i'll put you on, if you put us on and we can build together", it wasn't this old mentality of "yeah put me on and i'll see if I can put you on...sometime in the future" that a lot of heads up here have.  Man they showed me the true definition of building and growing, like J said...gotta keep pushin!

So in short, Houston was a huge success, we lined up some more gigs for the future///beat contests/emcee contests/shows, etc...and in return we got lots of numbers to help line up some DOPE cats in Dallas.  yes I said it...and I said it a while back too...Capital P will begin doing shows in Dallas DFW area...so for everyone who has been...yeah we'll call you..sike...well in return we might call you...sike
