sometimes the best way to find out where you're going is to revisit where you've been.

we'd like to offer our early music.
all of these are free. they are zip files of the music files themselves.
mediafire will host them indefinitely.

here is the first ep we ever recorded. we recorded in adam's house in greeley and we had no idea what we were doing. that being said it's probably the most honest of any of our recordings as it was live, and therefore susceptible to error. Jay J hand drew thirty album covers and we sold them at one of our first shows in Greeley.

the lollypop garden ep.

this is the second ep we recorded. it was a bit rushed, a bit under produced, and a little rough. that being said, i remember opening the first ones and feeling the plastic wrap in my hands. it was the birth of "Night. Light." and it gave us something to be proud of. even if the pride was short lived, and we had soon outgrown it's six songed-ness, it was still something we did, with a real barcode, and real plastic wrap.

don't step in the lightning.

when we went in the studio for moon window water, we wanted to complete the vision we had had for over a year. the vision was of a mirror. simply put: how often does one not recognize the mirror itself, but instead what is shown reflected on it? we wanted to be mirrors. never seen, but still used. we realized that are no lights in the darkness, only mirrors. God is the only light, and we shine because we reflect him, not because we are lights.
our vision was young, and like all young visions, we rushed to fufill it.
in the earliest version of MWW (printed on envelopes) we included two songs that were removed from the final release.
Of White and Blue is a tale of trees, and Sandcastles on Glass Shores is a rerecording of the DSITL track.

moon window water b-sides.

i hope that one day i will be freed from the pride that embarrasses me of some of our early recordings. the truth is, i hope that the honesty of the recordings will speak louder than the quality. perhaps i should instead hope that you, reader of this blog, and downloader of these albums, will hear what we intended to say, regardless of what came out of our young mouths.
please download, listen, share, give, upload, host, post, and any other internet verb these recordings away.
moon window water will remain on itunes for sale.
thank you.

daniel.
