Journeys

Hey hows it goin its CoEn I'm a poet
Ever inclined to find a new way to show it
Not a top of the chartist I'm just an artist
On a quest, to observe, learn and find
Intrigued by interpretive design
I peel the form from conformity
Shapes with words, lines and curves, theatrical swerves
like moods of PMS, distress, or a test
invest in the value of relationship
lines a spit, words are folded, bonds are molded
the path is bold but to traverse I need to own it
started the journey
lost my footing in gelatin soil like pudding
that time has solidified, sludged on the sediment
froze the nerves but slurred and settled the speech impediment
dispute, between tongue and mind
are stuck but all else moves on
to assure no child left behind passes through blind
can't think of where I am as where I've been
getting ahead of myself puts me in a dizzy spin
hormonal over adolescent lesbian
a product of whirlwinds, a series diverge
to in to love with my gender identity crisis
betrothed your daughters heart when left to my own devices
out of the closet
pressured by smelling salts and spices
that shocked me awake
like news of lice, raising gas prices
FREEZE!
A cup of ice poured over a sleeping face
I want to chase my attacker but its only time and space
Twenty first century sweetness is all I can taste
Blue raspberry, my girlfriends favorite candy pop
I'm going with not against since its not going to stop
This path, this girl, my career, our future
Masterpieces are spun from the strings of our suture
In time our lives designed to merge my friends and I will learn
That defined we are living Technicolor
Streaming energy passes through sent by translucent waves
Goodbye to the days make the nights sparkle
Like the shiny diamond and white gold arsenal
One ring to rule them all? Might secure this destiny
Trust in me, hands intertwined, precious find
Softer edges brush the shading, fading to a powdery glow
Give it a blow, put more stars in the sky
