Will the ethics of our society be our downfall? As we become more ignorant and disjointed from one another our so called society takes one more step towards nothingness.
The man with the plasma TV, using his video car phone from his BMW parked in the driveway of his waterfront home doesn't even have the time to listen about helping the poor. As long as it is not happening in front of him, why should he care? He has his life of luxury to consider.
The animal murderer has animals to skin, the CEO wars to profiteer from, and smoking companies death to sell. Only a means to an end, correct? Just to scrape by, a job to pay the bills.
The ignorant middle class worry not about the decline of modern society as long as they get their $100 tax cut; ignoring the wrong doings of our government, as long as we get a few dollars back...What is socially wrong with our society?
What will it take for people to realize that we need to be cohesive? It always takes for it to happen to you before you are willing to help. Skin deep differences rule our perceptions...Why? Has there ever been human decency? Is it now lost in the annals of history, or was it just a myth to begin with?
Decadence and self indulgence are hallmarks of our society; we cannot be blamed as we were simply brought up in this fashion...But perhaps it is time for us to start caring about others as well as number one?
I'd like to believe most of us are fundamentally good. Can this please be proven to me?
No one has excuses anymore...it's tax deductible.
