Lets start with the fact that if you're using Twitter with one of it's desktop clients, this post is probably not for you. But, if you're using Twitter simply from the Web, here's how to create yourself a better, and much useful Twitter.

First you need a Firefox browser, and in some cases, a Greasemonkey addon.

Ok, now all you need to do is to download these 5 great Firefox plugins & Greasemonkey scripts:

Twitter Aout-Refresh

This script checks for new tweets every 3 minutes and adds them to the top of the Timeline, plus it shows you how much tweets you missed since your last visit. Also, it loads older tweets endlessly when you're scrolling on the Twitter Timeline.

Twitter Sidebar Replies

Twitter Sidebar Replies save you a few clicks, and the need to search for replies. This script places replies to a user on the sidebar of their Twitter page. Will also list replies to you if you are on your home page.

Power Twitter

Power Twitter is a Firefox addon that displaying Flickr photo & YouTube video directly onto Twitter page. It also show the short URLs description.

Twitter Auto-complete

A very simple Firefox addon that adds username auto-complete support for @-messages and d-messages on Twitter.

UTF8Twitter

Finally, a cool menu on top of your Twitter page that allows you to add relevant characters to your tweets.

I've created a short Demo that shows the functionality of these features:
