ok man i'll be honest, i thought 2008 kind of sucked. 2007 was so crazy that i kind of just hid out for most of '08.

but so far i am kind of feeling 2009. NYE in sodak was fukkin' punk and i think i got some new blood for my body.

gowns kind of took a break too, just a little bit. work, pay off doctor bills. ezra put out a tape on deathbomb arc as "compression of the chest cavity miracle" (i think that name is brilliant, i'm so jealous of people who are good at naming things). erika worked on a solo full-length called "some dark holler" (not too bad a name though, right?) that will be coming out sometime soon this year. it's got lots of guitar feedback and lots of vocal harmonies. it's my reconstruction of the first george thorogood and the destroyers record (1977) with a little diamanda galas thrown in. corey played a lot all over with everyone. right corey? am i missing something?

so we're going to start playing a lot again and making recordings, new record will have "marked" on it and some other songs we've been kicking around for a few years now.

keep an eye out for some shows we're doing, i wanna have fun when we play, new songs and low key punky stuff with friends, warehouse shows that are the most fun. i wanna not be scared anymore. i wanna choose life.
