It is nice that it is summer. I prefer working when there is a warm breeze coming in, children are outside playing, dogs barking, the smell of BBQ. The problem is that i have to work (here is where I work www.fetch50k.com) and it can be fairly grueling once in a while. One good thing is, a lot of the authors who hire our promotion service, so I am always working with authors.
When you have a stressful day job, it can make it difficult to write - no matter how much you like your job. I've talked to a lot of authors over the years. Many of them discuss the problems of balancing work and writing.
Very few authors I know are able to quit work and write full time, but it would be fun.
