Arrived at the 36th Annual Kerrville Folk Festival yesterday, just before sunset. After parking, I unloaded and set up my bike trailer/chariot and entered the festival grounds. The chariot immediately gathered positive attention and the first staff person I spoke with (a total stranger), so admired the ingenuity of it's concept and design that he offered me a guest pass on the spot, good for the rest of the event! I accepted it and quietly took that as another good sign.

The vibe here is outstanding. I'm now glad I arrived a few days after I'd initially planned. The site is recovering from ten inches, plus, of rain since the festival started. There are many stuck cars, axle deep in the muddy hayfield that doubles for event parking.

The breeze in this valley is currently a steady 20 mph. I like it for now.
