i have been overwhelmed by this tour so far. the fans have been extraordinary! a simple thank you seems to fall short. coming up are the Ontario dates which i’m really looking forward to. Jared Paul is hopping off his US spoken word tour to hang/perform for these 3 dates. im going to try and talk Jared into sitting down with me for a taped interview on life/politics/art. hopefully he agrees and we can post it on this site and the rainemaida.net site for your viewing pleasure. until then, be well and i’ll see you on the road.

I've been waiting 12 years to see you live whether it be with OLP or your solo project. I even flew to toronto to get tickets for your show and they were sold out by the time I got to the box office window.... now, in New York City which I just found out about, They are again... SOLD OUT.... Too Bad.... I guess I have to wait another 12 years.... Good luck on the road.
Sarah.

Hey Raine,

I'm really glad you're enjoying the tour. Tonight's your show in Winnipeg and I pre-ordered tickets to go see it, but they never arrived and Ticketmaster won't be giving me a refund, and I'm just really, really disappointed. Not only am I out $50, but I won't get to see you in concert, and I was really hoping I'd get the chance to. And I almost did.

But I hope the show goes well tonight, as I sit at home really upset that I couldn't go because the tickets were never delivered, and I hope the Winnipeg crowd is good. *smiles sadly*

Hi Raine,

After seeing some clips on here and youtube, I am excirted to be seeing you perform again. A bit bummed I miss the Jared Paul shows. That song seems odd to me without his part.. I sitll love it though-just miss that whole rap..

I was overjoyed to hear the bonus tracks are in the set. I can not wait to hear 21st Century Blues. That song gets me all the time.. I think it is just so beautiful and moving..
Love your version of OHIO...

see you soon and have a great Easter..

xoxo

Hey Raine,

I was at your show in Victoria (blonde chicky in the wheelchair trying to peer through the crowds! :)) and you did a fantastic job. You speak of being overwhelmed by your tour, but I found myself to be overwhelmed by your talent. Your lyrics are so poetic and passionate, it was such a pleasure being there. The opening acts were great, too. I only recently had learned of Billy the Kid here on Myspace and was thrilled to see her perform and Maurice is a great local band, that I know quite well.

I wish you great success on the rest of your tour and congrats to you and Chantal for your baby on the way! Don't stay away from us on the rock out west here for too long, you have a very adoring fan base!

Take care, Nikki

I was so impressed with Jared's performance last night in Kitchener. So glad to be exposed to that so unexpectedly! The show was incredible, congrats Raine. I feel inspired to get out and do more for people, and make more music. Good luck with the rest of your tour and with the interview with Jared if it takes place!
The concert was definitely moving and I hope I can see another show someday on your next time around! Keep making your great music! :)

Lauren

PS - congrats on the coming baby!

Raine,

I was at your Kitchener show on Good Friday and I just wanted to tell you that it was a pleasure to see you, and Chantal and the music was amazing! Jared Paul did a great job, and it was an interesting touch to a musical performance. I quite enjoyed your rendition of "Try Honesty" by Billy Talent and Congrats to both of you on having another baby on the way. I can't wait until you get a chance to start recording again, but until then I will enjoy listening to the Hunters Lullaby.

Thank you for a great night! And for getting everyone off of their Lazy asses to get up and sing with you.

Cheers!

Jen
